The Theory Part

This part will be conducted online via the MySSI app, where you’ll have access to the manual, videos, knowledge reviews, and exams. Study wherever, whenever, and at your own pace.

During the theory portion of the Stress and Rescue course, you will learn:

  • How to recognize and prevent diver stress and emergencies.
  • Self-rescue techniques.
  • Rescue skills range from cramp removal for yourself and your buddy to underwater unconscious diver rescue.
  • An overview of various rescue scenarios.
  • Considerations regarding scuba diving equipment.

You’ll also explore a wide range of additional topics, providing comprehensive and enlightening theoretical training.”

The Confined Water Section

With this section of the course, conducted in confined waters (maximum depth of 6 meters), you will refresh the rescue techniques and skills learned during your Open Water course.

You will also learn and practice various new skills to assist and aid other divers

Consists of 3 sessions, and here’s what we will teach you in each one:

  • Identifying stress and mastering self-rescue.
  • Helping a diver in anxiety or panic.
  • Rescuing an unconscious diver.

You’ll learn, practice, and master each of these skills, preparing to apply them in open water scenarios.

The Open Water Training

Rescue isn’t merely about going through a set of learned steps during your training dives.

It requires critical thinking to assess and respond to situations effectively, ensuring safety for all.

That’s why, during this open water phase, we’ll create scenarios to teach you prevention and response skills for emergencies.

While it’s the most demanding and complex segment, it’s also the most rewarding and enjoyable.

In addition to knowledge, skills, and fun…

With the SSI Stress and Rescue course, you get all of this.

1

Digital manual via the MySSI app for you to complete the course theory at your own pace and wherever you are.

2

Full equipment so you don’t have to worry about bringing any part of diving gear.
