You want to dive in Menorca and this is how we make it happen

  • Normally, we conduct two dives in the morning. This way, you can make the most of your time and spend the rest of the day exploring the island.
  • We meet at the center at 9:00 a.m., or if you prefer, we can pick you up from your accommodation at 8:30 a.m. No stress about getting here!
  • We handle all the paperwork and necessary equipment. Just remember to bring your certification and insurance (if you have it). If you don’t have insurance, we can arrange it for you at the center.
  • We’ll take you to the dive site where we’ll do two dives with a surface interval.
  • Then, we’ll bring you back to your accommodation by around 2:00 p.m. You’ll have plenty of time to relax and explore Menorca.

If you’ve brought your own equipment, you can store it here if you’re diving for multiple days.

Menorca’s clear waters make it a great spot for beginner divers, perfect for a fun day out with family and friends.

Menorca’s shallow coastline and numerous accessible reefs make diving suitable for all ages, starting from 8 years old.

However, Menorca offers more than just easy dives for beginners. Known for its diverse coastal landscape, the island features outstanding underwater environments: caves, grottoes, caverns, and several shipwrecks that make diving in Menorca an exhilarating option for experienced divers.

With crystal-clear waters and summer temperatures ranging from 20 to 26 degrees Celsius, and amazing visibility of over 30 meters, Menorca is the perfect destination.

 The best time to dive in Menorca is from May to October, although diving is possible almost year-round. Winter months see temperatures ranging from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, perfect for diving with a dry suit.🥶

El Submarino at Cala’n Forcat, Ciutadella

Strategically located between the charming developments of Cala’n Blanes and Los Delfines, just minutes from Ciutadella, this spot stands out for its natural beauty and rich marine life.

As we descend gently along the right side of the cove, we discover an impressive rock formation extending about 50 meters in length. This prominent rock rises from the seabed to a depth of 12 meters, remarkably resembling the bow of a nuclear submarine, which gives it its distinctive name.

During our dive, we reach depths of up to 21 meters, depending on each diver’s certification. Along the way, we are amazed by the diversity and abundance of marine life that thrives in these waters.

Banks of sea breams, saddled breams, and damselfish are commonly sighted, along with moray eels, hakes, groupers, and sea bass. With some luck, we may also encounter octopuses, giltheads, and colorful nudibranchs, adding vibrant colors to the underwater scenery

Es Pont d’en Gil – Cueva de Sa Cigonya, in Ciudadela

25 mts Maximum Depth

Diver Level: All levels, with experience in navigation and tourches handling.

Dive Type: Cave.

Entry Type: Shore or boat.

One of Menorca’s most iconic and thrilling dives takes you to explore Es Pont d’en Gil and Sa Cigonya Cave.

Our adventure begins in Pont d’en Gil Bay, where rocky formations blend with seagrass meadows and lively sands full of marine creatures. You’ll be enchanted by the magic of this place right from the start.

Once in the water, we’ll swim for a few minutes near the surface until we come around a rocky promontory and meet the imposing stone arch, known as Es Pont d’en Gil.

From here, following a clearly marked path, we’ll descend to a depth of around 10-12 meters. On our left, we’ll discover the entrance to Sa Cigonya Cave, an underwater corridor leading to its initial chamber.

The cave is remarkably spacious, allowing us to explore underwater until we reach a chamber adorned with impressive rock formations, stalactites, and stalagmites. 

The second chamber, though smaller, offers equally breathtaking views and is well worth visiting, especially on the return journey near the surface.

With a maximum depth of only 6 meters inside the cave and over 25 meters outside, Es Pont d’en Gil – Cueva de Sa Cigonya welcomes divers of all levels, as long as they’re prepared for the challenges of an underwater cavern.

Cala Blanca Bay – in Ciudadela

Entry Type: Shore, with access from Cala Blanca Beach.

When you dive into the clear waters of this bay, you’ll discover a lively reef inhabited by rays, octopuses, starfish, and clams.

With impressive visibility ranging from 20 to 25 meters, you can fully appreciate the underwater beauty and explore stunning holes, cracks, and hidden corners.

Ideal for beginners, this dive is easily accessible from Cala Blanca Beach, offering a comfortable entry into the water.

 The maximum depth is 12 meters, ideal for day and night dives, offering a unique sense of mystery and discovery under the moonlit waters.

During the dive, you’ll be able to admire a stunning variety of marine species like bream, damselfish, rock mullet, wrasse, grouper, spiderfish, and flounder.

During night dives, cuttlefish and squid can be seen among the rocks, providing a unique natural spectacle.

Cala’n Blanes- Ciudadela

Buceo en Menorca

15 mts Maximum Depth

Diver Level: Beginner.

Dive Type: Reef.

Entry Type: Shore.

Cala’n Blanes, just a short distance from Ciudadela in Menorca, is a great place for an easy and exciting dive. Ideal for new divers and excellent for night diving.

With a maximum depth of 15 meters, this underwater area is safe and easy to explore.

The seabed at Cala’n Blanes is mostly covered with posidonia meadows, a sign of clean waters rich in marine life.

Among the underwater caves and crevices, divers can discover motorcycles and other objects covered in marine life, adding a touch of curiosity to the dive.

The marine life in this area includes fish like bream, seabream, wrasses, rainbow wrasses, damselfish, and torpedoes. You can also frequently spot moray eels, octopuses, and anemones among the rocks at the cove’s entrance.

This shallow underwater environment is perfect for novice divers to experience the rich biodiversity comfortably and without complications.

Cala Morell –  Ciudadela

Diver Level: Beginner to intermediate.

Dive Type: Wall.

Entry Type: Shore.

Cala Morell, situated in the north of Menorca, is a small bay encircled by rocky cliffs, providing a fascinating dive accessible from the shore through small platforms.

This dive spot is perfect for beginner to intermediate divers because of its variety and gradual depth access.

Starting from a shallow sandy bottom near the coast, divers can explore an underwater environment that gradually  extends into deeper waters.

The route heads northward, hugging the coast on the left, and eventually takes divers through marine caves and grottos. 

Cala Morell’s underwater scenery features captivating rock formations and a wealth of marine life. 

Among the rocks, you can spot fish such as red mullet, bream, wrasses, damselfish, and rainbow wrasses. Moray eels and octopuses, expert at hiding in crevices, are also commonly sighted.

Diving in Cala Morell provides an opportunity to uncover historical artifacts such as ancient amphorae and a centuries-old anchor, enriching the underwater experience with cultural intrigue.

Es Tunel – Ciudadela

18 mts Maximum Depth

Diver Level: Intermediate.

Dive Type: Tunnel.

Entry Type: Shore.

Es Tunel is an exciting dive located in the Calas Piques cove, on the north coast of Menorca.

The adventure begins with a northbound boat trip from the harbor, taking in the picturesque coastal views en route to our destination.

Starting from the shore of Calas Piques, divers descend to a sandy seabed adorned with Posidonia seagrass meadows.

This area hosts a variety of fish including rays, skates, flounders, groupers, sea bass, scorpionfish, gobies, and rock mullets, which hide among the rocks and crevices.

Once in the water, divers navigate parallel to the coastline until reaching the entrance of the underwater tunnel. This tunnel serves as the dive’s pinnacle, offering a distinctive experience as divers pass through and observe the marine life dwelling within, such as blennies and shrimp.

Es Tunel is a dive for intermediate divers due to its depth and the need to navigate through the tunnel with care and attention.

Cala en Brut – Ciudadela

18 mts Maximum Depth

Diver Level: Intermediate.

Dive Type: Sand area.

Entry Type: Shore or boat.

Cala en Brut, situated on Menorca’s northern coast, provides an impressive dive experience accessible from both shore and boat.

The dive begins at around 12 meters depth, from where we head north towards the cove.

Descending to approximately 6 meters, we discover a white sandy area teeming with flatfish and mollusks, the latter buried in the sand forming small volcanic cones that intermittently release jets of sand.

The underwater landscape at Cala en Brut is diverse and vibrant, with shoals of bream, sea bream, and damselfish typically inhabiting the entire cove. Along the rocky walls of the cove, it’s common to see wrasses, rainbow wrasses, sponges, anemones, and hermit crabs.

As we venture westward along the coast, we might encounter barracudas during periods of currents, which adds excitement to the dive.

Menorca is famous for its crystal-clear waters and stunning coastline and the marine reserve. Here, you will find a wide variety of dives from the north to the south:

  • Caves, arches, caverns, and swim throughs.
  • Wall dives.
  • Reef and rock formation dives.
  • Wreck dives.
  • Also, can explore the marine reserve.

Menorca boasts rich marine life. Some of the animals you can see include:

  • Reef fish: Such as sea bream, groupers, mullets, and damselfish, as well as moray eels and conger eels.
  • Pelagic species: Barracudas, tunas, and bonitos. 🐟.
  • Invertebrates: Octopus, cuttlefish, squids, lobsters, crabs, and shrimp.
  • Mollusks: Colorful nudibranchs and marine snails. Echinoderms: Sea stars, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers.

Moreover, while there are no coral reefs like in the tropics, there are soft corals and colorful sponges, and bright-colored anemones are common in various dives.

We usually do two dives in the morning.

If you’d like to do another dive in the afternoon or a night dive, just let us know and we’ll plan it.

Not many, don’t worry:

  • Diving certification.
  • Diving insurance. If you don’t have it, no worries, we can arrange it for you at the center upon your arrival.
  • Medical questionnaire that you can fill out at the center with health-related questions. If you answer “yes” to any of the questions, then you need to provide a medical certificate.
  • We also offer the Safe Diving Practices Declaration and Liability Survey from SSI at our center.

No, we prefer small groups of divers at similar skill levels to ensure a pleasant and safe diving experience.

However, if you prefer a private guide, feel free to contact us, and we’ll make arrangements for you.

The waters of Menorca are clean and crystal clear, so normal visibility ranges between 20 and 30 meters.

The water temperature in Menorca ranges from 14º C in the winter to 28º C in the summer.

From late May to early October, with an average water temperature of 25 °C. The water reaches its peak temperature during July and August.

No, you don’t.

If you don’t have equipment, you can rent everything here at the dive center.

And if you do have your own gear, you can bring it and leave it at the center during your diving days.

The maximum depth of dives is determined by your diving certification. For recreational diving, it’s 40 meters.

You must wait at least 12 hours after a single dive and at least 18 hours after multiple dives in one day. 

If you dive multiple times over several days, it’s best to wait 24 hours to clear accumulated nitrogen before flying
